South Africa is home to some of the best universities in Africa, such as the University of Cape Town (UCT), University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), and Stellenbosch University. If you’re a student planning to study there, here’s a breakdown of the general admission requirements.
1.⁠ ⁠Academic Requirements
•Undergraduate
•A Senior Certificate (NSC) with a bachelor’s pass or its international equivalent.
•Strong performance in subjects related to your chosen field (e.g., Mathematics and Physical Sciences for Engineering).
•Postgraduate
•A recognized Bachelor’s degree relevant to the program.
•Some programs (like MBA or Medicine) may require work experience or additional entrance tests.
2.⁠ ⁠English Language Proficiency
